04/22/2013 - 12th Annual KRP 3 Pitch Soft Ball Tournament

To All Tenants and Friends of Kanata Research Park Corporation:
Every spring for the past 12 years, KRP has organized "A MIXED CHARITY 3-PITCH SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT". The tournament was set up to provide companies within the Kanata Research Park Business Park the opportunity to get outdoors, have some fun, do a little team building outside the office and get to know each other better, all while raising money for local charities. This year we will be raising money for the "CANDLELIGHTERS" and "DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT".
The tournament will be held on June 22nd & June 23rd, 2013. We anticipate space for 12 teams to participate, and interest levels have been high, so don’t wait to sign up! Spots are limited and going fast. Please don’t wait as every year there are 2 or 3 teams that miss out due to late registration. To enter your companies team, please remember that you are not permitted to have any more than 4 non company players. Please remember the concept behind this event is to raise some much needed money for 2 well deserving charities as well for the fun and recreation of our tenants.
KRP is proud of the collaborative effort of our tenants who come together each year in support of these charities and sincerely hope you will join us again this year to engage in some friendly camaraderie and 'play ball'.
Whether you enter a team or not, we have great SPONSORSHIP opportunities this year. We are always looking for sponsors, so if you are interested, please let us know and we will contact you to review your sponsorship options. Please see attached sponsorship flyer.
To register or should you have any questions, please contact Brian Lacombe at brian.lacombe@krpc.net or by phone at (613) 591-0594 x 1036. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Thank you! We look forward to seeing you there!

04/22/2013 - Tenant Emergency Response Question and Answer Session

To All Occupants of Kanata Research Park:

As we are quickly approaching the time for our annual fire drills, we would like to remind everyone that each tenant is responsible to their own fire evacuation and/or emergency response plan. While we understand some tenants may be quite organized after having been on campus for some time, there may be some who would like help organizing and preparing their plan. Brian Lacombe, KRP Security Manager, is offering an opportunity for all tenants, and their fire evacuation teams, to come to a “Question and Answer” Session. The sessions will take place on Monday May 6th, 2013 on the 4th floor of Tower A at 555 Legget Drive. Start time will be 2pm, this meeting session usually lasts no longer than an hour.

This is a good opportunity for those groups in need of a little assistance revising their existing plans, creating a new plan or learning what is expected of tenants during an evacuation. Please let us know if you plan to attend. Also, if there are any fire wardens in need of the popular fire warden hats, please advise us prior to the meeting so we can have enough on hand.

For further information, or if you have any questions, please contact Brian Lacombe, KRP Security Manager, at brian.lacombe@krpc.net.

A schedule of practice times will follow. Come out as see how we play Ultimate Accent.

02/04/2013 - Parking

To All Occupants of Tower A , B, C and Monmouth (555 Legget, 535 Legget, & 359 Terry Fox):

Please forward this to all employees,

KRP is in the process of installing a new parking equipment system. We will be closing both traffic lanes on the west side of the parking structure. For our daily tenant parking garage access we will be posting signs and requesting that everyone drive around to the rear of the structure and use the golf course side traffic lanes. The arms at the entrances are malfunctioning but the readers are working properly. Anytime a driver who finds the gate arm up should still be using their parking access card. We will not be offering daily parking rates, instead if you wish to park in the garage, please use your parking pass. If you do not have a pass, please contact KRP security at krpcsecurityservices@krpc.net

As well we would like to remind you that parking labeled ‘visitor parking’ is restricted to visitors only. Vehicles belonging to tenants in these spaces will be ticketed.

We do apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience at this time.

01/29/2013 - Bloodmobile

Our next Bloodmobile clinic at 555 Legget.
Our next dates are Wed, Thursday and Friday, April 17, 18 & 19, 2013.

We were just at your location on January 9, 10 & 11 and as usual, had fantastic results.
This is particularly impressive in the second week of January when many donors are recovering from the busy holiday season.
We collected 92 units of blood out of our target of 96 units or 95.83%.
This is enough blood to supply one week of treatment for 11 leukemia patients.
